SILVER BOOM BLACK LABEL CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Last week, i was in North Cyprus for a small holiday. I have a friend there who is importing alcoholic beverages and wines. When we were talking about the wines, he suggested me to try this wine and gave me this bottle. Before tasting that wine, i did a small search on South African Wines.

Silverboom Black Label belongs to the wine region Stellenbosch in South Africa. Stellenbosch bears the same name as the largest city in the district, and have historically been the breeding ground for some of the very best wines in South Africa.

The area is beautifully situated between the coastal mountain ridges, and enjoys a pleasant Mediterranean climate that is ideal for growing grapes of exceptional quality.

The wine that i was tasted was a Cabernet Sauvignon.

It was intense deep red in the glass with dark almost black dash. I smelled greeted with a wealth of red and black berries like blackberries, strawberries and blueberries. In the mouth it was rich and concentrated with a classic Cabernet Sauvignon character.
It was dominant and complemented by the fine oak tones and a slightly spicy touch.

I think, Silver Boom Black Label is an ideal companion to grilled meat, veal, lamb and a variety of cheeses.
